LAMBERTUS DIRK HOPPEN AND HIS WIFE, MARTHA SMOOK HOPPEN TOOK INTO THEIR HOME IN OR NEAR KAMRAR THREE CHILDREN WHOSE MOTHER HAD DIED. THEY WERE PETER LUITJENS, BORN 1882 IN GERMANY; ANNA LUITJENS, BORN 1884 AT IOWA; DENA LUITJENS, BORN 1885 AT IOWA. LAMBERTUS TOOK THE THREE CHILDREN WITH HIM WHEN HE MOVED TO WEBSTER COUNTY, NEBRASKA IN 1891. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHO THEIR PARENTS WERE? ALL THREE CHILDEN ARE IN THE 1900 U.S. NEBRASKA CENSUS, BUT DISAPPEARED BY 1910. ANNA REAPPEARS IN 1920 IN TULARE COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, BUT THERE IS NO TRACE OF THE OTHER TWO.
