WILL BRANHAM IS DEAD

Saturday morning of last week a telegram was received here announcing the death of Will Branham at Madison, S. Dak., no further particulars being given. Art Branham, a brother of the deceased man left Saturday for Madison, and the body was brought back to Jewell, arriving late Monday night.

The particulars of the death of Branham are somewhat meager. Since leaving Jewell about a year ago he has been employed at several places in Minnesota and South Dakota, and all winter had been picking chickens at Madison. Last week he seemed on well, but his condition did not appear serious at all. After being in bed three days he finally consented last Friday to have a physician called, but even to the doctor he seemed to be suffering only from a slight indisposition complaining of a pain in the side. Shortly after dinner however he suffered from an epileptic attack, seven spasms occurring in rapid succession and finally proved fatal. "Buff" as he was commonly known, was subject, we understand, to such attacks a good many years ago, but had not suffered from them since about fifteen years ago.

The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at two o'clock from the Christian church, conducted by Rev. Cole, of Goldfield, a former pastor, and the body was buried in Evergreen cemetery. His mother ad sister, Carrie, came up from Des Moines when news was received of Will's death, and were in attendance at the funeral service.

William Clarence Branham was a man about 35 years of age and had resided in Jewell or nearby nearly all his life. Branham had many friends in Jewell and vicinity, who heard the news of his death with sincere regret, and all join in extending sympathy to the surviving members of the family.
