DEATH OF MRS. HANNAH SIMMONS
Sunday, December 4th, at 11:20 a. m. Mrs. Hannah Simmons passed away at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marcus Christensen, northeast of town. Death was due to tuberculosis of the stomach. Funeral services will be held today, from the home at 10:00 a. m. and from the Norwegian Lutheran church at Jewell 2:00 p. m. The services will be conducted by Rev. Eastvold and the body laid at rest in Evergreen cemetery in Jewell.
Mrs. Simmons was born in Denmark, March 21, 1885 and at the time of her death was 26 years, 8 months and 13 days of age. In July 1904 she was united in marriage to Mr. S. A. Simmons and of this union there is one child living. For several years the family had been residents of Oklahoma, but later Mrs. Simmons had gone to Colorado in the hope that the climate there would restore her to health. The quest proved unavailing, and as the end drew near, she was brought her to the home of her parents.
Mrs. Simmons' untimely departure is mourned by the husband and child, her father and mother, four sisters, and three brothers, as well as by a host of friends in this part of the county, all of whom join in expressing sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones. The sisters are Misses Nina and Minnie, Mrs. Mary Jensen of Kamrar, and Mrs. Louisa Wells, of Denver, Col. The brothers are George of Clarion, Julian, of Kamrar, and Otto. All are present at the funeral services today except Mrs. Wells.
