Olaf Tjernagel rites Wednesday

Olaf Tjernagel, 64, died May 8, at Moorpark, Calif., of a heart attack.

Funeral services will be Monday in California. There will be funeral services Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Story City from the Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Adolph Harstad officiating. Burial will be in Mamrelund Cemetery, east of Randall.

Mr. Tjernagel was born Dec. 24, 1905 in Hamilton Co. to parents Jennie and Peter Tjernagel.

He was a veteran of World War II. In 1952, he was married to the former Eva Keller.

Survivors include his wife, Eva; a daughter, Trinsa and son, Keller, both at home; three brothers, Herman and Alfred, both of Story City and Sigurd of New Ulm, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Harstad of Watertown, Wis. and Mrs. Elizabeth Olson of Nicollet, Minn.
