I am still researching this line. I have found some information about origins of Ashbel and Sarah A. van Scyoc, Sydney, Fremont Co., believe in 1836 he was with relatives in Desmoines region. I have cleared up some issues but still need more information. Especially looking for descendants of Almira Vanscyoc Beckwith to learn any infor. She might have passed on. Husbands line descends through Franklin Van Scyoc...
