Peek murders of 1886

With tremendous assistance from the great folks at the Fayette County Historical Society, I am studying an event from September, 1886 in Windsor Township where a couple - Abram and Lucretia Peek were killed in their home and a friend - Abram Leonard was gravely injured. A young man named Schmid was convicted of killing Mrs. Peek, but there is doubt about the death of Mr. Peek and whether there was another person involved. Anyone having interest, knowledge or relationship to this story would be a welcome addition to the effort. It's a fascinating story.
