Ironically I just sent for the Umbreit record Saturday. I may try to amend it to Emily Phelps, 1916. I got the 1924 data from a cousin in Dubuque. I have info on Fred's ancestors back to 1755, but little on Emily Hogbin. Only that she was born in IL Sept 1875, and parents George & Mary Hogbin born in England. I wonder if Emily Umbreit could have been a relative of hers that helped care for children Earl & Eva after Emily Phelps died? I got Fred's obituary from Anne Sears in Plano, by the way.
