Mary Jane Decker, youngest daughter of Douglas and Eva McNabb Neal, was born Jan. 27, 1898, near St. Marys in Warren County, Iowa, and died June 16, 1980, at her home in Leon, age 82 years 4 months, and 19 days.
On Dec. 22, 1915, she was united in marriage to Foster Earl Decker at Indianola, Iowa. They made their home in Garden Grove many years. To this union five children were born: three sons, Lon, Donald, and Paul; two daughters, Helen and Edna.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, March 3, 1964; son Paul, June 16, 1952; great grandson; brother Jess, and sister Agnes Seams.
Survivors are children: Helen and husband Dewey Ivins, Leon; Lon and wife Beulah, Indianola; Edna and husband Clinton Foot, Albany, Mo.; Donald and wife Louise, Leon; ten grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; two cousins, one nephew, other relatives and friends.
She was a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Garden Grove.
