BERRY, Jennie M., 92, died at Leon Care Center April 11. Service was conducted from the Slade & Duerr Funeral Home April 14, with Mr. Huebert Hackler Officiating. Burial was in the Leon Cemetery.

Jennie May Berry
Jennie M. Berry was born May 4, 1894, to Don and Charlotta (Osbourn) Gregory at Moulton, Iowa, and died at the Leon Care Center, Leon, Iowa on April 11, 1987, age 92 years.
Jennie was united in marriage to Leo L. Craig of Moulton, Iowa. Two children were born, Charlotte and Lucille. Leo died in 1919 and Jennie married Bertram B. Berry in 1922.
Jennie, in her earlier years, was a schoolteacher and beautician. She and Bertram (Beanie) moved to Leon in the 1940s where Beanie was employed as a pharmacist at Hopkins Rexall Drug Store until he died in 1960.
Jennie was an active member of the Leon Church of Christ and past president of the Leon Garden Club and the Harmony Club; past president of the Iowa Pharmacy Auxiliary. Jennie especially enjoyed her work as housemother for the Church of Christ College in Winchester, Ky.
Others preceding her in death, besides her husbands, were her parents; five brothers; one sister; and one grandson, Gary Gardine.
Surviving are two daughters: Charlotte Gardine of Lancaster, Mo., and Lucille Albach, Des Moines, Iowa; 5 grandchildren: Jaquelyn Reyes, Sherry Hernandez, Patricia Tucker, Craig Gardine, and Debbie Gardine; 9 great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
