ORVILLE F. RANDOLPH

Orville F. Randolph, 79, Welton, died Saturday at Americana Nursing Home, Davenport, where he had been a patient the last two months.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt, with the Rev. Glenn Trost, pastor of the Congregational United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery, Welton.

Pallbearers will be James, Orville Jr., Jeffrey, Brian and Richard Randolph and Elmer Barber.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday.

He was born Nov. 13, 1897, at Pleasant Valley, to Aaron Peter and Louella M. Clemens Randolph. He married Erma E. Smith June 4, 1924, in Muscatine, Iowa.

Mr. Randolph had lived in the Welton are 39 years, and he had served several years on the Welton Board of Education. He was a retired salesman and a member of the Woodmen of the World and Carnival Camp No. 1, Davenport.

Survivors include nine daughters, Mrs. Verna R. Flathers, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Samuel (Audrey) Guzzo, Wyoming, Iowa, Mrs. Owen (Oralee) Wing, Westminster, Colo., Mrs. Charles (Louella) Baugh, Alvin, Texas, Mrs. Napolean (Mary) Maron, Arvada, Colo., Mrs. David (Martha) McFadden, Broomfield, Colo., Mrs. Charles (Nadine) Ross, Rock Island, Mrs. Keith (Jane) Higgins, Welton, and Evangeline Randolph, Davenport; five sons, James F. and Brian F., both of Davenport, Orville F. Jr., DeWitt, Jeffrey F., San Diego, Calif., and Richard Randolph, Kankakee, Ill.; 51 grandchildren; 18 grea-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Ed (Louella) Clow, Rock Island, and a brother, Charles, Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, two son, a grandson, two sisters and three brothers.
