Clayton County Register, 11 June 1959.
Funeral services for David Coonfare, 84, were held at the Gill Chapel in Strawberry Point Friday afternoon, May 29, with the Rev. Robert L. Smith officiating. Burial was in the Mederville cemetery northeast of Strawberry Point.
He was born May 05, 1875, near Strawberry Point, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Coonfare. He was a retired farmer and his wife died a number of years ago.
He died May 27 at the Clayton County Hospital in Elkader, where he had resided for several years.
He leaves no immediate family, although there are some nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
