Mrs. Henry W. Reinhardt, died at her home in Elkader December 29, 1952 after an illness of nine years.
Erna A. Osborne was born January 12, 1904 at Osborne, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Caroline Osborne. Her father died in 1949 and her mother in 1939. She was married November 24, 1927 to Henry W. Reinhardt at the Little Brown church at Nashua, Iowa. One daughter was born to this union, Jean, who is residing with her parents in Elkader.
Mrs. Reinhardt attended high school at Elkader and summer school at Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. She taught school for several years and later worked as a bookkeeper for the John Deere Implement Co. for two years. She was a member of the Women's Guild of the Evangelical and Reformed church of Elkader and of the Legion Auxiliary.
Besides her husband and daughter, survivors are a brother, Earl Osborne of Elkader, and two sisters, Miss Florence Osborne of Runnells, Iowa, and Mrs. Alice Guyer of Strawberry Point.
Funeral services were held December 31, 1952 at 2:00 p.m. from the Witt funeral home in Elkader with burial at the East Side cemetery. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated.
Pallbearers were Miles Scott, Milton Klink, Clarence Sturm, George Behn, Gerald Stahl and Adolph Elvers.
