Aden - Meyer marriage - 1951

Miss Ruth Meyer and Mr. LeRoy H. Aden were married Dec. 17 in Strawberry Point. The Rev. S. J. Meyer, pastor of Emanuel Lutheran church and father of the bride, officiated. Miss Meyer is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. S. J. Meyer of Strawberry Point and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Reamer Aden of Havelock, Iowa. Miss Eva Lee Aden, Havelock, sister of the groom, was a bridesmaid, and Joan Meyer, sister of the bride of Strawberry Point was a junior bridesmaid.

The bride is a graduate of Strawberry Point high school and is now a senior at Wartburg college in Waverly where she is a member of the Alpha Psi Omega, national dramatic fraternity. The groom is a graduate of Havelock high school and a graduate of Wartburg college at Waverly. At present he is a student at Wartburg Theological seminary at Dubuque.

The new couple left immediately following the reception for a wedding trip and will return on Dec. 21. They will be at home in Strawberry Point with the bride's parents until school resumes after the Christmas holiday, when they will resume their studies at their respective schools.
