MRS. JOHN JOHNSON
Mrs. Carrie Johnson, wife of John Johnson, died at her home in the Addition , Friday afternoon, death resulting from a severe attack of inflammation of the bowels. Mrs. Johnson was sick but a few days and did not realize the seriousness of her illness until shortly before her death.Deceased was born in Sweden in 1834. With her husband she located on the farm near Meriden where she remained until last year, when they came to this city to reside.
Beside her husband, deceased is survived by two sons, Nels A., of Liberty, and Peter, whose home is in Florida, and a daughter, Mrs. A. Helstrom, of Liberty. Deceased also has a brother in this county and a sister in Chicago.
The funeral was held at the home, at eleven o’clock, Sunday morning and the body was taken to Meriden cemetery for interment.
Among the people of her own nationality, to whom she was best known, deceased was greatly esteemed and respected.
