Irene H. Leeds, 97, Cherokee
Graveside services for Irene H. Leeds will be held Monday, May 11 in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee.

Greenwood Funeral Home, Cherokee, is in charge of arrangements. She died Jan. 28 at Country Side Estates following a lengthy illness. Her body was cremated.

She was born Sept. 18, 1895, in Quimby to Frank and Jeannie (Macindoe) Leonard. On Jan 1, 1918, she married Dr. Ben Leeds, in Cherokee. She was a children’s librarian at the Cherokee Public Library for 25 years. She was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Leonard, one sister, and two brothers, Marvin and Wayne Leonard.
