Mrs. Rance (Myrtle) Lee, 98, Montana, formerly of Cherokee, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, in a hospital in Whitefish, Montana.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 13 from the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. The burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery at Peterson.
She was born June 29, 1895, in Peterson to Henry and Minnie Stabelfeldt Stier. She was married to Rance Lee on December 2, 1914, in Cherokee. She had resided in Montana for the past three years, prior to this in Aurelia and for many years lived on a farm just north of Cherokee. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Mrs. Lee’s favorite pastime was her flower gar den, which was enjoyed by many of the people in this area.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rance in 1980, a son and a daughter in infancy, also two sons Lawrence “Buster” Lee and Clifford Lee, one great great grandson, also one brother and two sisters.
She is survived by one son, Melvin Lee and his wife Virginia of Trego, Mont.; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Jan Lee, Sioux Rapids; eight grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Florence Krause of Peterson.
