Nina Lucille Josephine Bredman, 93, of Cherokee, and formerly of the Larrabee, Iowa area, died Thursday, November 5, at the Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 9 from the Boothby Funeral Home in Cherokee. Burial will be in the Cedar Cemetery at Larrabee.
She was born March 2, 1905, at Lake Benton, Minnesota to John Gotfrid and Alma (Freed) Adams. She was married to Victor Leonard Bredman on April 2, 1924, at Quimby, Iowa. They lived on a farm west of Larrabee for 35 years before moving to Cherokee. She worked for 12 years at the Cherokee Mental Health Institute and also worked at Cherokee Floral. She was a member of the Larrabee United Methodist Church and the Larrabee Leisure Club. She loved to read and to crochet.
She is survived by one son Neil Bredman and his wife Sandra of Iowa City, Iowa; three grandchildren; Brett Bredman and his wife Susan of Cedar Falls, Iowa; Bonnie Villhauer and her husband Charles of Coralville, Iowa; Bryan Bredman and his wife Stephanie of Shueyville, Iowa; four great grandchildren, Cody Bredman, Tiffany and Scott Bredman and Amber Bredman of Larrabee, Iowa and a host of other relatives and friends.
