Benjamin Joseph Hinkeldey, 7, of Alta, died Sunday, November 15. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 19 at St. John Lutheran Church, Alta with Pastor Kevin Huss officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Alta.

He was the son of Myron and Trudy Binder Hinkeldey. He was born December 21, 1990, in Storm Lake, Iowa. He was baptized into the Christian faith on January 13, 1991, at St. John Lutheran Church in Hanover. He was in the second grade at the Alta Elementary School. Heh participated in little league baseball. He also enjoyed playing sports with his friends, eating pizza, reading with Mrs. Brown and having plans.

He attended Sunday School, Mid-week School and vacation Bible School at Hanover.

He is survived by his parents, Myron and Trudy Hinkeldey; brothers, Nathan, Thomas and Jordan, all of Alta; paternal grandparents, Dwaine and Doroty Hinkeldy of Alta; maternal grandparents, Donald and Margaret Binder of Storm Lake; great-grandmothers, Opal Hinkeldey of Alta; Anna McVey of Storm Lake as well as many other relatives and friends.
