Barbara J (Reinert) Johnson, 48, of Correctionville, Iowa, died Monday in the Marian Healthy Center, Sioux City, of cancer.

Services will be held Friday at the Greenwood Funeral Home Cherokee. Her body was cremated. There will be no visitation.

Johnson was born September 19, 1950, in Cherokee, Iowa to Clayton and Sophie (Carlson) Reinert. She graduated from Washington High School in 1968. She married Jerry Johnson in 1969. She lived in South Dakota and then Oklahoma, before returning to northwest Iowa.

Johnson worked for H & R Block in Sioux City and most recently at Gateway 2000. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Johnson, of South Sioux City, Nebraska; two sons, Jeffrey Reinert, of Anthon, and Matthew Johnson, of Correctionville, and his special friend, Niki Chase and her children, Kyndra and Jonah; her mother, Sophie Reinert, of Cherokee; two sisters, Beverly Jackson and her husband Roger of Cherokee; and Rebecca and Charles Pratt, also of Cherokee; three brothers, Clayton Reinert, and his wife, Dee, of Cherokee; Richard Reinert, and his wife, Elaine, of Elk Point South Dakota; Michael Reinert, and his wife, Connie of Ruthven, Iowa, and several nieces and nephews. Also, a special friend, Dan Sargent. Also, one granddaughter, Lara Hagberg.
