MARCUS – Mrs. M. C. Simons, 69, died Monday morning at her home in Marcus.

She was born in Newton, Ia., April 28, 1882, and had lived in the Marcus community nearly all her life.

Survivors include: her husband, Melvin; one son, Donald; three daughters, Mrs. Clifford Schlenger, Mrs. John Coburn, Mrs. Lloyd Warburton, all of Marcus. Two sisters survive: Mrs. Lester Carpenter and Mrs. Elbert Clark, both of Spearfish, S. D.

Two brothers surviving: Ralph Bosworth, Lake Stevens, Wash.; Roy Bosworth, Lake Norden, S. D.
Funeral services were to be this afternoon from Methodist church in Marcus. The burial was to be in Amherst cemetery at Marcus. Nelson funeral home was in charge of arrangements. (Source: Cherokee Daily Times, Tues., Feb. 5, 1952, pg. 6)
