DIED
TAYLOR – In Cherokee, on Saturday, Dec. 21, 1878, Charles Taylor, aged 34 years.

The deceased with his family came from New York State two or three years ago and have resided in the vicinity of Cherokee until within the last few months, when they came to Cherokee and Mrs. Taylor entered the millinery business. Mr. Taylor was known as a hardworking, industrious man, upright in all his dealing and a man who strove to prosper by honest endeavor. He was a stout, hearty, robust man in the prime of life, but verily, we know not the day nor the hour, and death claimed him as a victim when it was least expected. He expired suddenly on Saturday afternoon, after a short illness, lung fever being the cause of his death.

The funeral services were held at the residence on Sunday afternoon and the remains were taken for burial to Cayuga county, New York. The deceased leaves a wife and two children to mourn, who have gone to accompany the once loving father and kind husband to his last resting place.
