Funeral services for Bernice M. Jennings, 81, Rochester Hills, Mich. and formerly of Tipton, were held July 22, 1989 at St. Mary's Catholic church, Tipton with the Rev. Eugene Benda officiating. Mary Wethington was organist and pallbearers were Harold Ovesen, Donald Swenson, Jeff Jennings, Scott Rubenstein, James Jennings and Thomas McGuinty. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Jennings died July 17 at Crittenton hospital in Rochester Hills, Mich. following an extended illness.

The daughter of Nels and Larsena Ovesen Christiansen, she was born March 14, 1908 in Wilton Junction. She attended the Wilton schools and married James Jennings Sept. 26, 1926 in Tipton.

Mrs. Jennings is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Frances) Rubenstein, Rochester Hills, Mich.; 2 sons, Howard, Westchester, Ill. and Mearl, Moline, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, 4 brothers and 1 sister.
