Funeral services for Mrs. Otto (Hilda) Bierkamp, 98, were held at Durant Jan. 6 with the Rev. Robert J. Davis Mayo officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Pallbearers were Duane Holst, James Paustian, Gilbert and Ray Meinert, Mike Stephens, Jim Knudsen, Delmar Frick and Richard Witte. Deb Mohr was organist.

Mrs. Bierkamp died at the Wilton Nursing home Jan. 1.

The daughter of William and Emma Leese Roehrs, she was born at Sunbury Dec. 28, 1890 and was married to Otto Bierkamp in Davenport April 12, 1920. He died in 1980.

Mrs. Bierkamp worked at Schmidt's Bakery in Durant and was a telephone operator. She was a 50 year member of Purity Chapter 365, Order of Eastern Star at Wilton and a member of the Durant Senior Citizens.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Witte, Durant; a step-brother, William Hell, California and 5 nieces and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.
