Funeral services for Paul L. Reuter, 76, Tipton, were held Jan. 10, 1989 at the First United Church of Christ in Tipton, with the Rev. Robert Molsberry officiating. The vocalist was Betty Emrich and the organist was Kathy Schott. Pallbearers were Doug Emrich, Dick Ward, Bernal Shontz, Dave Williams, Bob Reeve and George Straub. Honorary bearers were Ed Liercke and Elmer Wilke. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Reuter died Jan. 7 at St. Luke's hospital in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness.

The son of Val and Nora Tigger Reuter, he was born June 3, 1912 in Lancaster, Ohio. He attended school in Pomeroy, Ohio. He married Margaret B. Kroger Nov. 25, 1936 in Tipton.

Mr. Reuter operated a feed and poultry business in Tipton and was a resident of the community for 60 years. He was a past member of the Tipton Lions club and the Moose lodge. He was a member of the First United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife; 2 daughters, Betty Trevathan and Pat Meixner, both of Tipton; a son, Paul Reuter, Jr., Selkirk, Manitoba, Canada; a sister, Fern Davis, Galipolis, Ohio; a brother, Ray Reuter, Middleport, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers.
