Funeral services for Lorraine Knipp, 61, Fairfax and formerly of Tipton, were held Sept. 3, 1988 at St. Patrick's Catholic church, Cedar Rapids, with the Rev. John Hemann officiating. Burial was in Cedar Memorial Park cemetery.

Mrs. Knipp died Sept. 1 at her home in Fairfax following a lingering illness.

She was born June 5, 1927 in Tipton. She married Marvin Knipp May 10, 1962 in Anamosa. She was a bookkeeper and worked for Rockwell-Collins and then for Schwitters Inc., until she retired. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic church.

Mrs. Knipp is survived by her husband; a daughter, Kris Carson, Cedar Rapids; 3 sisters, Maxine McCalley, Cedar Rapids and Lucille Edgerton and Vera Lynch, both of West Branch; a brother, Desmond Lynch, Cedar Rapids and a grandson.
