Graveside services for William Alex Murray, 64, Clinton and formerly of Tipton, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 1988 at the Red Oak cemetery.

Mr. Murray died July 9 in a car accident near Bellevue.

The son of Alex and Wildia McCammett Murray, he was born at Tipton July 25, 1923. He graduated from Tipton high school and was in the Tipton area for a while after that. He then went to San Francisco, before returning to the Clinton area. He was a pawnbroker in Clinton for 5 years and was previously self-employed as an industrial paint subcontractor. He was a member of Painters Local 676 and Fraternal Order of Eagles.

Mr. Murray is survived by 2 daughters, Sandra Clifford and Jana Kay Murray, both of Atlanta, Ga.; 3 sons, William II and James, both of Orion, Ill. and Jon, with the U.S. Marines in Japan; his mother, Wildia Murray, Las Vegas; a sister, Eloise Cady, Las Vegas and a brother, Roger, Waterloo.
