Funeral services for Patricia L. Scheit, 42, West Branch, were held July 19, 1988 at the Bethany Lutheran Church in West Branch, with the Rev. John McKinness officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Scheit died July 15 at the Memorial Medical Center in Niagara Falls, N.Y., while on vacation.

The daughter of Leo and Marie Volman Kneeskern, she was born Aug. 12, 1945 in Postville. She married Richard Scheit June 7, 1969 in Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Scheit is survived by her husband; a daughter, Jennifer and a son, Carl, both at home; a brother, Paul Kneeskern, El Paso, Texas and a sister, Mrs. Wilfred (Joyce) Kramer, Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.
