Funeral services for Lois E. Brick, 64, Tipton, were held Dec. 18, 1987 at St. Mary's Catholic church in Tipton, with the Rev. Joseph P. Hines officiating. Jim Schneider was the vocalist and Kathy Schott was the organist. Pallbearers were Scott Kramer, Gene Morrow, Marty Brick, Marvin Williams, Larry Sexton and Marvin Brick. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.
Mrs. Brick died Dec. 16 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City following a brief illness.
The daughter of Edward and Olive Hardy Townsend, she was born July 20, 1923 in West Liberty. She attended the West Liberty schools. She married Earl Williams in 1942 in Kahoka, Mo. and he died in 1979. She married Thomas Brick in 1981 in Tipton.
Mrs. Brick was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of the Tipton area. She was a member of St. Joseph's Guild, West Branch and St. Mary's Catholic church, Tipton.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Brick, Tipton; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Anderson, Tipton; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; a step-daughter, Mrs. Charles (Marlene) Gann, Lamar, Okla.; 2 stepsons, Marty and Marvin Brick, West Branch; 7 step-grandchildren and 3 sisters, Mrs. Don (Joann) Wilson, Casa Grande, Ariz.; Mrs. Wayne (Helen) Lenz, Iowa City and Mrs. Rudy (Edna) Sebelen, Coal Valley, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, a brother and a son-in-law.
