Last rites for Mrs. Richard (Hazel E.) Laucamp, 89, were held at the Sheets & Son Funeral Home Nov. 14 with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers were Karl, Kent and Kraig Timmerman, Paul Hamann, Ray Pratt and Dale Weise. Betty Trevathan was organist and Nancy Hipple was vocalist.
Mrs. Laucamp died at Crestview Care Center, West Branch, Nov. 9, where she had been a resident for 2 1/2 years.
The daughter of John and Caroline King Woode, she was born at Tipton June 12, 1898 and graduated from Tipton high school in 1916. She was married to Richard Laucamp at Muscatine Nov. 14, 1917. She spent her life in the Tipton area. She was a former member of the South Bethel Methodist church.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Helen Hamann, Atalissa and Mrs. W. J. (Virginia) Lenihan, Aitkin, Minn.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Marie Marolf and a brother-in-law, John Laucamp, Wilton; 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, a sister and a brother.
