Last rites for William D. Rhoads, 66, Stanwood, were held at the Chapman Funeral home Nov. 14 with the Rev. Susan Detwiler officiating. Burial was in the Stanwood cemetery. Pallbearers were Roger Tenley, Dean Boesenberg, Bruce Thumma, Dave Siebels, Alex Taylor and Don Ropa. Masonic rites were held Nov. 13.

Mr. Rhoads died at St. Luke's hospital, Cedar Rapids, Nov. 12.

The son of Russell and Ruth A. Bower Rhoads, he was born at Clarence Jan. 25, 1921 and was married to Ruth E. Donovan at Rock Island, Ill. Dec. 16, 1949.

Mr. Rhoads worked at Cryovac, Cedar Rapids, for 24 years, retiring in 1979. He had been self-employed since that time. He was a member of Fremont Lodge Nov. 616, AF&AM, Stanwood.

He is survived by his wife; 2 sons, Mark, Iowa City and William II, Cedar Rapids; 3 grandchildren and 2 brothers, Robert, Loomas, Calif. and Russell, Stanwood.
