1878 Cedar Co. History, Rochester twp pg 725. Moore, Patrick L., farmer, Sec 32, P.O. Sugar Creek. Owns 220 acres valued at $50 per acre. Born in Ireland in 1822, came to America in 1844, removed to his present farm in 1863. Married Drusilla Rhodes in 1861, she was born in Warren co., OH in 1834. Have one child by adoption- Hannah Eliza. Mr. Moore enlisted in 1861 in the 18th Ohio V. I., was in the battle of Bull Run, enlisted again in 1862, in the gun-boat service.
