Tammy, I have some info on the Grote family. Bernadine was the daughter of Joh. Heinrich Grote and Maria Anna Schlickelmann. Bernadine was born abt 1858 in Covington, Kenton Co., KY. I show that she married Chris Heires on 10 Jan 1888. My great grandmother was Anna Grote born 23 Apr 1856 in Covington, Kenton Co., KY, the younger sister of Bernadine. I am still researching on the Grote family and would share any info I have.
