I have some information on my uncle, Herman Heires who married Anna Agnes Hacker. Herman's father was also named Herman Heires. Do you think they might be related some how? Herman and Anna were married at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Breda, IA. Herman and his family, father and mother are buried in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Breda. Herman and Ann had a son, Christopher who died in 1987 from AIDS, he is also buried in Breda.
Herman Heires was born in 1890 and died in 1918, his wife was Marie, she was born in 1895 and died in 1982. Their son Herman Heires was born 22 May 1919 and died 12 July 2000. This Herman Heires married Anna Agnes Hacker, she was born 29 Sept 1921, they had a daughter Sande Heires, born 09 Jan 1956, They had a son Christopher Heires, born 21 Oct 1958 and he died 16 July 1987.
There is a William Heires, born 1892 and died in 1976; his wife is Dina, they are also buried in Breda. I don't know if William and Herman Sr. are brothers or cousins but they are buried in the same area.
There is a Mathew Heires born in 1899 and died in 1932, he could also be a brother or cousin to the fore mentioned and is also buried in the same area as Herman and William in Breda.
I don't have any more information about Herman Sr., William or Mathew Heires. All I have to go on so far are the photos I took of their grave markers. I grew up knowing Herman Jr's, family and got to see them at Christmas and Easter times and at family get-togethers with the Hacker family in Carroll.
Herman Sr's wife Marie's maiden name was Bruns.
Herman Jr. also had a brother Irvin Heires, and sisters, Margie who is married to Ed Pietig and Darlene who is married to Donald Bengford.
This is the only information I have so far on the Heires family I grew up knowing. I hope this might be of some help for you.
