Roberta "Bobbi" Mathis, 65, died Friday morning, July 15, 2005, in her home following a long illness.

Survivors include her husband, Doug; a son, Michael Mathis of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; a daughter, Beth Mathis Bresson of Independence; a stepdaughter, Teresa Norland of Wesley; three sisters, Marge Reeves of Independence, Mary Ann Benson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Rose McElroy of Henry, S.D.; and three brothers, Victor Althaus of Dunningham, Calif., Al Althaus of Independence and Fred Lenards of Hamilton, Mo. Also surviving are seven grandchildren.

Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, by the Rev. Aloysius Vorwald. Private family inurnment: Fontana Park Cemetery, Hazleton. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
