Mr.and Mrs. William Bird will observe their fiftieth wedding anniversary next Sunday from 2 to 5 at an open house in the REC building. Hosts will be the couple's children, Pauline of Waterloo and Richard, and their sons and daughter in-law the Lyle Birds of
Sumner, the Ardelle Birds of Winthrop. and the Gilbert Birds of Waterloo. Mr. Bird and the former I Golda Benion were married Oct.25, 1912, at Waterloo. They have always farmed in this area. The couple have; 16 grmdchildren.
