Jaclyn Kay Powell, 25, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her home. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, October 26, at St. Malachy's Catholic Church in Madrid. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 27, at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. A private committal service will take place at a later date.
Jaclyn was born on March 26, 1987 in Boone, Iowa, to Jackie "Jack" L. and Sandra "Sandy" (Payton) Goodrich. She was a 2005 graduate of Madrid High School. On July 5, 2008, Jaclyn was united in marriage to Joshua Powell in Lincoln, NE. She was currently employed with C.D.S in Boone. Jaclyn enjoyed cooking, baking cookies, deer hunting and bowling. She bowled on a league in Adel. Above all, Jaclyn loved being a mother; was very proud of her children and cherished spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her two children, Andrew and Addie; their father, Joshua Powell; mother, Sandy Goodrich of Madrid; two brothers, Chad (Kristi) Goodrich of Woodward and Matthew Goodrich of Madrid; two aunts, Carol (John) Osenbaugh of Indianola, IA and Susie (Richard) Lacy of Eagleville, MO; uncle, David (Maria) Goodrich of Tijerus, New Mexico; and a host of relatives and many friends. Jaclyn was preceded into eternal life by her father, Jack Goodrich in 2009.
The family has respectfully requested that any memorial contributions be given for the continued care of her children, Andrew and Addie.
