Meggison

I seem to have come to a brick wall. I am trying to find any information on John Meggison (b. Abt 1858) and Kate (Parks) Meggison (July 1863). The 2 were married 27 July 1896 and their daughter Eleanor (Ella) was born in March 1897. In the 1900 census, John is not listed with Kate and Ella. I have found mother and daughter in town directories but never with her husband. There are other John Meggisons in the area but they are married to other women. I can't find kate or John in a cemetary either. Ella's daughter (my grandmother) told me that Ella's mother died when she was young and she was in an orphanage and then taken out of the orphanage and raised by a close family friend of Kate's. I only know her name as "Grandma Blough". Any information would be greatly appreciated. This has been a brick wall for over 20 years. Thank you!
