Lawrence Leland Wilfawn was born Aug. 22, 1919 to Leo and Grace Fern Childs Wilfawn. He died July 21, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.
Sgt. Wilfawn served in World War II with the U.S. Army 113th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
