Ralph Bennett was born Aug. 31, 1916 to George Henry and Dolores Nelson Houser Bennett. He died Jan. 13, 1949 and is buried in Gods Acres Cemetery, Clermont, IA.

Ralph served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Michael Clifton Blockhus, Jr. was born Aug. 11, 1922 to Michael John and Olga Henrietta Gilbertson Blockhus. He died Nov. 30, 1944 and is buried in East Clermont Lutheran Church Cemetery, Clayton County, IA.

Pvt. Blockhus served in World War II with the U.S. Army Infantry.

Gerald Edward Boleyn was born Feb. 9, 1922 to Eddie C. and Wilma E. Greene Boleyn. He died July 27, 1945 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 7, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and in Elgin City Cemetery, Elgin, IA.

Flight Officer Boleyn served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 28th Bomber Squadron, 19th Bomber Group, Very Heavy and was MIA/KIA over Japan.

William Buford Bradfield was born Nov. 29, 1925 to William Aaron and Amanda B. Steffin Bradfield. He died Oct. 26, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippine and has a cenotaph in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein, IA.

Petty Officer Bradfield served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hoel (DD-533) and was MIA/FOD/KIA when the ship sank off Samar, Philippine Islands during a surface engagement with an enemy force. The Hoel was operating as part of a task unit composed of carriers and destroyers whose primary mission was to provide direct air support for the landing operations on northern Leyte Island. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Richard Walter Buck was born Nov. 12, 1918 to Glenn W. and Iva Pearl Moon Buck. He died Nov. 23, 1947 and is buried in West Union Cemetery, West Union, IA. 

Richard served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
