CHARLES H. REGAN, RETIRED RAILROAD MAN, DIES AT 80
Charles H. Regan, a resident of Fort Dodge for 40 years, died Wednesday
night at his home, 1715 Seventh avenue south, following a lingering illness.
He was 80 years of age.
Mrs. Regan died in 1935. Four sons and one daughter survive. They are
Thomas Leroy Regan of Minneapolis and Charles F. and James A. Regan of Fort
Dodge. J. V. Regan of San Diego, Calif., and Mary Regan of Glenwood, Ia.
Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive as do the
following brothers and a sister, J. A. Regan of Pasadena, Calif.; Paul Regan
of Miami, Fla.; Louis Regan of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. Ella Hefiner of Nora
Springs, Iowa. His parents and one brother preceded him in death.
Mr. Regan was employed by the Illinois Central railroad for more than
30 years, in later years serving as storekeeper at the local Illinois
Central shops. He retired in 1927.
Funeral services will take place Saturday morning at 9:45 at the
Laufersweiler funeral parlors and at 10:15 at Sacred Heart church. Burial
will be in the Corpus Christi cemetery.
