Con Peterson, 83, 225 K St., died Saturday morning at Lutheran
Hospital where he was admitted as a medical patient 10 days ago. He had been
in failing health for several years.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in Bruces Memorial Chapel
with the Rev. Marvin Christenson of Calvary Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home
after 6 p.m. Sunday.
Surviving are his wife Martha; three daughters and a son, Mrs. Edward Rollow
of Phoenix, AZ., Mrs. Elmer Nekvinda of Coalville, IA., Mrs. Bernard Parrott
of Knerim, IA., and Cecil A. Peterson of Fort Dodge, IA., 23 grandchildren; 19
great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Hulda Goulett of Hector, MN.
Mr. Peterson was born and raised in Sweden. He came to the U.S. and Ogden
when he was 19 years old. Later he moved to Fort Dodge, where he married
Martha J. Svaleson in 1909. They farmed near Gaylord, MN. before they moved
to a farm five miles west of Fort Dodge. In 1945, they moved into town.
Until retiring 13 years ago he worked at the East End Foundry.
