| NOTE from Terri Shepherd Haley - They are my great-grandparents. Walter was born Oct. 24, 1875 in Villisca - his parents were Silas Shepherd & Rebecca Caroline (Lewis) Shepherd. Myrtle was born July 14, 1879 in Climax, Iowa - her parents were Otho J. Netto & Laura Almira (Powell) Netto. After Otho Netto's death, Laura married Arza Ross. Walter & Myrtle were married on Dec. 18th 1895 in Villisca, Iowa & they raised 10 children, one of them was my grandfather Willie W. Shepherd. I have quite a bit of information on this family & was glad to see the picture on the website. I would be happy to help with any info I may have, if you ever need.
