The M. C. P. Music Club

The "M. C. P." Music club was organized in 1903 with fiftee [sic fifty} charter members, each of whom either played or sang, hence working together congenially to accomplish our object: to further our interest and knowledge of music.

In 1905 the club was admitted to the Federation of Women's clubs, and has the distinction of being the youngest federated club in the state.

The club meets every two weeks on Monday from October to June, at the homes of the different members, when a musical program is rendered, and the last two years the club has taken up the study of Baltzell's History of Music.

While not a civic organization the club is interested in the progress of their home city; and this year have pledged two manual training tables for the public schools, and in the past have presented books to the Atlantic Carnegie library.

The social side of the club is not neglected and a number of social gatherings are given throughout the year.

While in the tenth year of our club's existence we congratulate ourselves upon our twenty-five active members, and hope that within the next ten years that some of the members of the "M. C. P." Music club will be known to fans.
