FORWARD.
In presenting this industrial edition it is with a pardonable degree of pride that the News-Telegraph calls attention to the fact that the work on it, outside of the making of the cuts, was done in this office. We have endeavored to make it as complete as it is possible to make anything made by human hands, and in this work we have had the hearty co-operation of Atlantic's business people, who have made the success of the publication possible, and to whom we extend our thanks for their ready response to the enterprise. To Mr. A. B. Stevenson, who did the work of compilation on the edition is most of the credit for its success due and to the splendid workmen employed by this paper its attractive typographical appearance is to be credited.
It is with the hope that the edition may serve to call the attention of the world to the spirit which characterizes the new Atlantic that we present this edition, a spirit which spells achievement unbounded in the years that are to come for the town we all love.
If our effort serves to contribute in some small measure to the consumation of our dreams of progress and advancement we will consider that the largest part of our reward.
