George H. Ulrich
(August 18, 1868 – August 26, 1907)Obituary
George H. Ulrich, was born in Janesville, Ia., Aug 18, 1868 and died at Kensett, Aug. 26, 1907, aged a little over thirty-nine years. In his boyhood days he with his parents resided at Janesville; later they moved to Peterson, Ia., but came back to Janesville where they lived until George had grown to manhood. Then they moved south into Kansas and from there to Oklahoma, where he was married to Clara Scott, Dec 19, 1894. The two came to Cedar Falls the year following, but later moved to Kansas City where they lived until a year ago last March when they came to Kensett, this county. February last Mr. Ulrich began failing quite rapidly, though he did not give up work until a few days previous to his death. Besides his wife and their three children, ranging in age from 5 to 11 years, he leaves a mother, brother and sister. In his early days he united with the Methodist church at Janesville. He was a loving husband and father and a good neighbor. Through all his sickness he bore his sufferings with patience and resignation, his thought was of his loved ones rather than of himself, and he was ready to go. His peaceful departure is a matter of great comfort to the dear ones who remain. Services were conducted at the bereaved home, Tuesday, a.m. and the body was taken to Janesville for interment.
