31 August 2024Linda Kaye Puckett, 80, of Dakota Dunes, SD passed away Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2024.
Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held in Kansas City at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Lake Waukomis Community Building, 1147 NW South Shore Dr, 64151.
Linda was born the daughter of Kenneth and Augusta Jeanne (Jackson) Gulick on April 5, 1944, in Kansas City, Missouri. Linda married Don Puckett on July 31, 1971, in Kansas City. They moved to the Siouxland area in 1979, where she worked at Clark and Webster schools as an aid and lunch lady for several years, but her favorite job was being mom to her large family.
Linda loved to travel and spent many winters in Arizona with Don. She liked to spend the summer months traveling between Dakota Dunes and Lake Waukomis in the Kansas City area. She was an accomplished bowler, participating in several leagues. She was also a huge KC Chiefs fan, a member of the Ladies Coffee Club, and a past performer in several productions at the Sioux City Community Theatre.
Linda is survived by her husband, Don Puckett and her children, Amy (Don) McKinzie, Robin (Jim) Banes, Dan Puckett, Brian (Dawn Wolff) Puckett, and Joy (Chris) Wiest; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Gulick.
