Carol Jean Hoover (nee Forke), 74, passed away after a long 10+ year fight with a terrible disease called Parkinson’s which finally sent her to the Lord on August 2nd, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Carol was born Sept. 29, 1949 in Sioux City, and lived a life marked by devotion, compassion and a deep love for her husband and animals.

Carol graduated from Sioux City East High School and dedicated many years to her career as a Medical Secretary in various doctors’ offices. She was also a partner in her husband’s business ventures demonstrating her supportive and enterprising spirit.

She shared 49 years of marriage with her husband Harvey Hoover and passed away in their home in Phoenix.

Carol is survived by her loving sister, Susan Kluckman, her husband Frank (deceased), their children Dale (Donna), Lori (Toby) and children; and her other loving sister Barbara Logan-Reese, her husband John and her children TJ Logan (Mindy), Jenna Logan (Michael Angersola) and great-nephews Edward, Cale and greatniece, Kamryn who will miss her deeply.

Her mother Sheila & father, Walden Forke from Sioux City, Iowa, have passed but are not forgotten, and I’m sure Carol is now with them in heaven.

A member of the United Methodist Church in Phoenix, Carol’s faith was a significant aspect of her life providing her with strength and community. In her leisure time, Carol was an avid reader, always found with a book in hand, exploring different worlds through the pages.

In addition to reading she loved to travel with her husband and family members.

Her wish was to have her body offered to Parkinson’s Research then cremated and remains returned to her husband.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation in Carol’s memory to honor her compassionate spirit and dedication to helping others.
