BURGLARS IN THE EUCLID

Two Boys Enter Through a Coal Hole and
Secure Some Money and Cigars
~

Burglars entered the Euclid Club Wednesday night, and left there richer by $20.05, and handful of cigars and two big drinks of whiskey.

Detectives Brott and Humane Officer Harvey at noon arrested Jack Sullivan and W. B. Hollenbeck, and charged them with the commission of this crime. The two young men confessed that they did the work, and the police recovered $18.50 of the money from them. The boys threw their tool into Perry Creek before they went home.

It was thought at first that one man had done the job, and that he had been locked in the building before it was shut up for the night. Joe Harrison, the steward of the club, said he shut up the place about midnight, and all was safely locked when he left. He said he heard a noise in the building shortly before he locked up and made an investigation, but found nothing.
