His Body Cut in Two.
FOREST CITY, Oct. 4.—An old settler of this county, Ole Ambrosen, was accidentally killed by the cars last night. It seems Mr. Arabrosen was in the city yesterday on business, and went to the depot about 7 o’clock p. m. to take the evening freight to Leland, but since putting on the extra night train, No. 45 does not carry passengers. Upon being informed of this fact by the agent, and that he could not get a train north until 3:45 a. m., he decided to walk home. This was the last seen of him alive. Train No. 45 from the north ran over him, completely severing the body in two.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows the name spelled Ambroson and that he was born in 1835. He is buried in West Prairie Lutheran Cemetery in Leland.
