Michael "Mick" J. Wright
September 12, 1991 - July 3, 2019Michael “Mick” J. Wright, 27, of Faribault, Minnesota, formerly of Forest City, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident in Minnesota.
Michael Jon “Mick” Wright was born to Paul and Jane (Morphew) Wright in Clarion, Iowa, on September 12, 1991. In 2010, he graduated from Forest City High School. He then attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Emmetsburg, Iowa, graduating with a degree in Autobody/Collison Repair. While in school, he enjoyed working as a bartender serving drinks and making people smile at the Wild Rose Casino. He continued to follow his passion for autobody repair at his current position with Brambillas RV as the body shop manager, a job he thoroughly enjoyed.
Never satisfied with average, Mick was, constantly, striving for perfection in his work and his life. He took great pride in his car, motorcycle, marvel comics, drums, and tattoos. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and his many friends skateboarding, camping, listening to music, and playing video games. With a great sense of humor, Mick lived and loved life to the fullest. He, always, had a smile on his face. A kind spirit who gave the best hugs, he loved whole heartedly.
Mick is survived by his mother, Jane Wright, of Forest City; his father, Paul (Cathy) Wright, of Eagle Grove; his siblings: Dr. Laila (Dustin) Buck, of Forest City, Brooke (Jason) Johnson, of Firestone, Colorado, and Emily (Julian) Clausen, of Eagle Grove; his step brothers, Danny and Tyler Price, of Fort Dodge; his nieces and nephews: Sully and Leo Buck and Quinn and Coraline Johnson; Amanda Gearty, and her little boy, Evan, whom Mick loved with all of his heart; and his precious cat, Mowgli; as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Mick will also be, dearly, missed by anyone lucky enough to be called his friend. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alva and Beverly Wright, Doris and Rueben Olson, and Leonard and Mary Morphew.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City, Iowa, with Pastor Zech Anderson officiating. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the Cataldo Schott Funeral Chapel, 505 North Clark Street, Forest City, Iowa 50436. Burial of cremains will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a future scholarship fund.
